Not a big story in a game in Quebradillas where bottom-rankedPiratas (0-12) were outplayed by second ranked Atleticos (9-3) 112-86 on Thursday. San German had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Quebradillas ' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Jorge Pacheco (188-1998, college: Liberty) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and guard Andre Curbelo (183-2001, college: Southern Miss) who added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists during the contest. International forward Phillip Wheeler (204-2002) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and American center Thomas Robinson (203-1991, college: Kansas) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Five San German and four Quebradillas players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atleticos have a solid three-game winning streak. San German keeps a position of league leader. Loser Piratas still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
